DISADVANTAGES of 3.5mm Audio Wall Plate
- Joining any cable usually results in some signal loss but from our testing of these 3.5mm audio wall plates, this is almost none
- Need cavity space in the wall to take the cable and joiner
- Obviously you will need an additional 3.5mm audio cable to run from the wall plate to a sound system or some other device
- 3.5mm audio cables are not capable of transmitting video signals, so using with a blank double face plate in conjunction with a VGA wall plate module would resolve this
- Running an 3.5mm audio cable directly would be cheaper
