DISADVANTAGES of HDMI Wall Plate
- Joining any cable usually results in some signal loss but from our testing of these HDMI wall plates, this is almost none
- Need cavity space in the wall to take the cable and joiner
- Obviously you will need an additional HDMI cable to run from the wall plate to your TV or receiver
- Running a HDMI cable directly would be cheaper
- It has a rigid connector on back, so depending on your cuircumstances & space available, using a fixed 90° or swivelling HDMI adapter in conjunction with the wall plate might be a good idea
