DISADVANTAGES of USB Wall Plate
- Joining any cable usually results in some signal loss but from our testing of these USB wall plates, this is almost none
- Obviously you will need an additional USB cable (Male A to Male A) to run from the wall plate to a device with USB port
- Need cavity space in the wall to take the cable and joiner
- Running a USB cable directly would be cheaper
- USB 2.0 is subject to maxium recommended run lengths of 5m
