Factors to consider when select a TV Aerial mounting bracket

  • whether you wish to mount the TV aerial on a Chimney or on a Wall your budget
  • your tool set - do you own a roof ladder, drill
  • The number of TV aerials you intend to mount
  • How high you need to mount the TV aerial to rise above an obstacle

Types of TV Aerial Mounting Bracket

  1. Small Satellite Dish Mounting Bracket
    • is the cheapest and simplest option.
    • Mounted with: You will need a drill, a 10mm drill bit & set (qty: 4) of Coach Bolt & Plugs
    • Mounted on: either a Gable end wall or a chimney
    • Suitable to mount: single TV Aerials or Radio Aerials
    • Disadvantages: limited height gain (only about 30cm)
  2. Chimney TV Bracket & Galvanised Aerial Mast
    • this is the option most favoured by professional TV installers as it gives the best chance of getting a good signal and comes at a pretty low cos
    • Mounted with: kits contains everything, just need a ratchet, set of sockets & a good set of cutting snips
    • Mounted on: a chimney
    • Suitable to mount: single or multiple TV or Radio Aerial
    • Alternative similar products: for very large poles (3m or more) you could use a double chimney bracket
    • Disadvantages: need to use safety equipment, roof ladders and it takes a certain level of skill to mount correctly
  3. Gable Wall Bracket & Galvanised Aerial Mast
    • this option is relatively easy to mount, ideal when there is no chimney and can carry heavy loads
    • Mounted with:You will need a drill, a 14mm drill bit & set (qty: 4) of Shield Anchor Bolts & 2 u bolts
    • Mounted on: on a gable end wall
    • Suitable to mount: single or multiple TV or Radio Aerial - can be used with a variety of pole length
    • Alternative similar products: part of a range of T & K Wall Brackets
    • Disadvantages: this is a more expensive option, you requires owning drill
  4. Universal Wall mounting bracket
    • this option is easy to mount, ideal when there is no chimney
    • Mounted with:You will need a drill, You will need a drill, a 10mm drill bit & set (qty: 8) of Coach Bolt & Plugs
    • Mounted on: on a gable end wall
    • Suitable to mount: single or multiple TV or Radio Aerial or satellite dish
    • Disadvantages: this is a more expensive option, you requires owning drill
