ADVANTAGES of USB Over Ethernet Hub
- Can extend the working range of up to 4 USB devices up to 120m
- Normal working range of USB 2.0 cables is 5m & USB 3.0 is 3m, so the advantages are clear
- It only required power on the receiver end of things
DISADVANTAGES of USB Over Ethernet Hub
- It is a point to point USB over ethernet hub and must be run directly
- It cannot operate in conjunction with a router or network switch
- USB has a max. power output and this will apply here also
