USES of Toolless RJ45 Connector
- Normally used in conjunction with 4 pair twisted CAT5 / CAT5e / CAT6 cable
- CAT5 / CAT5e only need 2 pairs to actually work (Most folks will actually wire all 4 pairs in any case)
- CAT6 needs all 4 pairs to work
ADVANTAGES of Toolless RJ45 Connector
- Saves having to buy a RJ45 crimping tool
- Also no need to strip the wire before connecting
- Does not require any technical knowledge to get working
- Is quick and easy to connect, just follow the integrated colour codes
- If a mistake is made, just lift the clamp and remove cable and connect again

DISADVANTAGES of Toolless RJ45 Connector
- The unit cost of toolless RJ45s is more than traditional connectors but you don't need a special tool so for smaller jobs, it is actually can work out cheaper
