USES of Stacker DeStacker
- A Stacker De-stacker allows 2 satellite dish feeds to be run down a single cable (stacked) and then split back out (destacked) into 2 feeds to feed a PVR satellite box
- Feed a Sky+ box using a single cable
- Feed a Sky+ HD box using one cable
- A non-subscription PVR box like a Freesat+ HD receiver
- Feed 2 single tuner satellite receivers in a couple of different rooms
ADVANTAGES of Stacker DeStacker
- Solves a major problem faced when installing or upgrading to Sky+ ie. what to do when there is only one cable in the wall
- Works extremely well
- Easy to install
- Neat and compact unit
DISADVANTAGES of Stacker DeStacker
- The major drawback of a Stacker DeStacker is the cost of the unit
- The stacker needs to be correctly installed if it is to work properly
- Struggles on cables runs of more than 30m - but this is rarely needed
- Will not work with Sky Q
