This is a brilliant device. I had been thinking of running a cable to a new location just to experiment. It would have meant drilling a hole through an external wall. With this cable coupler, the link up became trivial. It so thin it fits between the edge of the window frame and closing panel with no impact at all on security or comfort. I can now experiment to my hearts content with no open window to cause discomfort. It can be left in place permanently too, I imagine, if you really don't want to go drilling walls or are not allowed to by landlords agreements etc. And at the price ??? Not even small change ! Great value. The cable is cushioned enough to make it reliable for long term use, i expect. Time will tell.
