USES of F-Type Coupler
- F-Type couplers are used to give create a low loss join (Capable of carrying a DC signal) between between 2x RG6 satellite cables
- They are used on both domestic and commercial jobs
ADVANTAGES of F-Type Coupler
- They achieve a much lower level of signal loss than coaxial couplers
- Can be used with Sky eyes
- They are quick and easy to install
- Less likely to come apart accidentally than a coaxial joiner
DISADVANTAGES of F-Type Coupler
- They are more expensive than than coaxial joiners
- Slightly more difficult to install than a coaxial joiner
- For many types of equipment e.g. Videos, DVDs etc.. coaxial rather than f-type connectors are the normal
- F type distribution boxes are normally 25% more expensive than coaxial distribution systems
