USES of Bullet IP Camera
- Use with a network video recorder
- Use with a hybrid DVR which has IP camera capabilities
ADVANTAGES of Bullet IP Camera
- Gives a great 2MP picture equivalent to 1080p full HD
- It is simple and easy to mount on wall or ceiling
- It is possible to power the IP camera directly from a POE (Power over Ethernet) switch
- This can suit customers who are familiar with computer networks - allows easy access and deployment
- Can also set up to record to PC or NAS (Network Attached Storage) device
- Also works with Hikvision / Hiwatch / Dahua NVRs
- 4mm lens gives a decent viewing angle (Field of vision)
DISADVANTAGES of Bullet IP Camera
- IP cameras are a little more expensive than traditional analogue CCTV cameras
- Can't be added on to an existing DVR system that does not have IP camera compatibility (Needs an NVR or hybrid DVR system that supports IP)
- This network camera has a fixed 4mm lens, so cannot be focused
- This network camera does not have a slot for a MicroSD card, so cannot be used as a standalone camera which records to itself
- To record, you must connect to NVR, NAS or such device
