USES of Universal Wall Mount Standoff Pole
- Ideal for mounting satellite dishes, especially when aim is to keep satellite dishes from the front of a house
- For mounting TV aerials
- Can be used to mount a satellite dish and a TV aerial on a single pole
- Mounting broadband antennas
ADVANTAGES of Universal Wall Mount Standoff Pole
- Strong enough to mount either a satellite dish or an aerial
- Easier and safer to install than a chimney bracket and pole
- Easier and cheaper to install than a T&K Bracket and pole
- Galvanised - so has long life expectancy
- With exception of coach bolt and plugs comes as a complete kit
DISADVANTAGES of Universal Wall Mount Standoff Pole
- More expensive to by than a simple galvanised or aluminium pole
- Gives less height and and pole space than a pole mounted on a T&K Bracket or chimney bracket - meaning there is rarely enough pole space to mount both an aerial and satellite dish
Tools needed
- A ladder
- SDS cordless drill
- Short 8mm, 16mm drill bits
- Ratchet with 13 & 17 mm long neck sockets
- Snips
- Safety equipment (harness, safety mat etc)
Equipment needed
- 18 universal wall bracket and pole
- Coach bolt M8 x 50mm & 10mm plastic plugs (qty: 8)
Location
- On a gable wall of a house to ensure aerial is above roof line of neighbouring buildings if possible
Steps to Install
- Position ladder to left (if right handed) of where universal standoff wall bracket is to be mounted
- Secure the ladders and put on all safety equipment
- Ascend the ladder with the drill, tools, bolts and universal wall bracket
- After selecting desired location use 8mm bit to drill guide holes
- Now use 16mm bit to drill hole
- Use ratchet and 17mm socket to bolt on bracket to the wall using the shield anchor bolts (qty:4)
- THE INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE !
Note: It can be best to mount the aerial on the pole prior to installation of the universal standoff bracket
