How to Install the Triax TSC114 Saorview Combo

  • Open the outter cardboard packaging
  • Remove the Triax TSC114, HDMI Cable and Power Unit from the box
  • Connect the HDMI cable to your TV (or scart cable if HDMI not available)
  • Connect your aerial lead to the ANT in on the back of TSC114
  • Connect your satellite dish lead to the LNB in connection on back of box
  • Connect the Power Unit to the back of the TSC114 and plug into electrical socket
  • Turn the TSC114 on using the power button on the back
  • If using HDMI, switch your TV to a HDMI channel
  • The box is now installed

How to Tune in the UK Freesat Channels on the Triax TSC114

  • Press the menu button
  • Arrow down to the installation menu
  • Arrow over to the installation type - Password 0000
  • Using the arrow and enter buttons, select DVB-S
  • Arrown down to stallite list, press enter
  • Select Astra/Eurobird (only satellite in list)
  • Press blue button to scan
  • Leave default options as is
  • Press enter to start the scan
  • Takes around 4-5 mins
  • Save search results - Yes
  • All Free to Air channels now tuned in

How to Tune in the Saorview Channels on the Triax TSC114

  • Press the Menu button
  • Arrow to installtion menu - password 0000
  • Arrow over to the installtion type
  • Use the enter and arrow buttons to Select DVB-T
  • Arrow down to auto search
  • Takes around a minute
  • Brings in all the saorview channels
  • Puts them in logical order at the start of the channel list
  • May bring in duplicates but actually selects the strongest signal and saves them
  • Save search results - Yes

How to Sort & Delete Channels on the Triax TSC114

  • Presss menu button
  • Arrow to Channel menu
  • Arrow over to channel manager, press enter button


To Move Channel

  • Press enter when channel is highlighted using the up/down arrows
  • Use arrow up/down to move and press enter to drop channel where you would like it


To Delete Channel

  • Arrow to channel you don't want
  • Press green button to delete - password 0000
  • Are you sure - yes /no
  • Select yes - data saving
  • Channel now deleted

How to Manually Add a Satellite Transponder

  • Press menu button
  • Installation menu
  • Arrow over - password 0000
  • Installation type - DVB-S
  • Go to transponder list and press enter
  • To add transponder press red button
  • Enter the settings for frequency, symbol rate and polarization
  • ie 11260, 27500, V using the up/down arrows and number keys
  • Press blue button to scan that transponder

How to do a Factory Reset on the Triax TSC114

  • Press the menu button on the remote control
  • Arrow down to setting menu
  • Arrown over to factory reset
  • Password - 0000
  • Enter button
  • Takes 30 - 60 seconds
  • Goes into standby
  • Press the on button on the remote to turn on
  • The Triax TSC114 is now set back to factory default condition

How to Back up Channel List to USB Drive

  • Press the menu button
  • Arrow down to setting
  • Arrow over to upgrade
  • Press enter button x3
  • Blue button (save)
  • Takes a few moments
  • Channel list is now backed up to USB stick

How to Load Channel List from USB Drive

  • Press the menu button
  • Arrow down to setting
  • Arrow over to upgrade
  • Press enter button x3
  • Select userdb.bin and press enter
  • Quick process and box reboots back to live TV with channels programmed

Info Button and EPG on the Triax TSC114

  • When on a channel, just press the information (i) button to seethe following
  • Channel name
  • Current time
  • Programme start time
  • Programme end time
  • Programme synopsis
  • Signal information

Using the EPG

  • Press the EPG button
  • 7 Day EPG for Saorview channels
  • Now/Next for UK satellite channels
  • Use arrow keys and info button to find out about programmes
  • Blue button for next day listings
  • Yellow button for previous days listings

Using the Triax TSC114's Media Player

  • Press the media button
  • Option for movie, music, photo etc
  • For films;
    • Select movie and press down arrow, press enter
    • You can browse for you films now
    • Use arrow keys on remote to highlight film and press enter to start

Similar for music and photos - Just make sure you have hit the recall button to get back out to Select the type of media you want to play from the top menu ie. movie, music, photo etc

  • To stop playback of film or music, press stop button
  • To exit from media player altogether, press the media button to go back to normal TV

Subtitles on the Triax TSC114

  • On either UK or Irish channel;
    • Press the sub button
    • Select the option that has the symbol beside it if given two options
    • To turn the subtitles off, press the sub button again and select off

Digital Teletext on the Triax TSC114

  • On RTE2 HD, press txt button on remote
  • Brings you into Aertel Digital Text
  • Use number and arrow buttons on remote to select options
  • Old teletext works as before just using the number buttons

Correcting the Channel Numbers after Re-arranging the Order of Channels

How to Upgrade the Firmware to Fix Extra Blank Channels Issue

  • Note: Upgrading the firmware will wipe your existing channel list
    • You will need to perform first time install again when firmware upgrade is completed
  • Format a USB Memory Stick to FAT32
  • Load latest Software on to the USB stick, Unzip if necessary
  • Firmware file is located under our downloads tab on product page
  • Power up the TSC114 Receiver
  • Insert the USB stick fully into the USB port located at the back of the TSC114 receiver
  • Wait approximately 5 seconds, You will see a message saying "Has found storage device"
  • Press Menu on the remote Control, goto "Setting", "Upgrade"
  • Select "USB Upgrade" and press Enter, Locate the upgrade file on the USB Stick (.bin), then press Enter
  • DO NOT SWITCH OFF OR REMOVE USB STICK. PROCESS WILL TAKE 3-4 MINS
  • The TSC114 Receiver will restart
  • REBOOTING TAKES 1 MIN APPROX. DO NOT POWER OFF RECEIVER OR UNPLUG USB STICK DURING THIS TIME
  • Once the box is fully rebooted, you can now remove the USB stick and retune the box or install your channel list software again
