USES of Satellite Dish Wall Bracket

  • Normally used on a gable wall or chimney to mount:
    • A single UHF grid or UHF contract aerial
    • A broadband antenna
    • Satellite dish (Comes with Sky Dish)

ADVANTAGES of Satellite Dish Wall Bracket

  • Small compact bracket ideal for mounting a UHF aerial or satellite dish
  • Lowest cost way of mounting a satellite dish
  • Wall Bracket is reversible - Can be used to maximise height or reach
  • Easier and quicker to mount than a chimney bracket
  • Versatile and can be mounted on a chimney or gable wall
  • Comes as a complete kit with exception of coach bolts

DISADVANTAGES of Satellite Dish Wall Bracket

  • Can not give the extra height required to get over the roof if mounted on a gable wall
  • Can only be used to mount a single aerial or a single satellite dish
  • Unlike a chimney lashing bracket kit, it requires a drill and coach bolts

This bracket can be mounted on either a chimney or as in the description below on a gable wall.

Tools Needed

  • A ladder
  • SDS cordless drill
  • Short 8mm, 10mm drill bits
  • Ratchet with 10 & 13 mm sockets
  • Snips
  • Safety equipment (harness, safety mat etc..)
Equipment Needed

  • Sky style wall bracket and arm
  • Coach bolt M8 x 50mm & 10mm plastic plugs (qty: 8)
Location

  • On a gable wall of a house to ensure aerial is above roof line of neighbouring buildings if possible so as to have a clear line of sight towards the transmitter tower.
Steps to Install

  1. Position ladder to left (if right handed) of where the bracket is to be mounted
  2. Secure the ladders and put on all safety equipment
  3. Ascend the ladder with the drill, tools, bolts and sky bracket
  4. After selecting desired location use 8mm bit to drill guide holes
  5. Now use 10mm bit to drill hole
  6. Use ratchet and 13mm socket to bolt on bracket to the wall using the plastic plugs and coach bolts (qty:4)
  7. Use ratchet and 10mm socket to tighten side U-bolts on the brackets so that the arm is square to the wall and tighten. *Caution: Do no over-tighten or thread on bolts will wear
  8. THE INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE !

Bought this to mount a dish I bought from FREETV. Problem was there was a mounting kit in the dish but that wasn't explained. Still not to much damage done and I'm very impressed with the speed of delivery. [STAFF NOTE] They was a video there you could have looked at but it was of our old model. We are making a new video of the current model. Glad you were happy with the service overall
