USES of Scart to HDMI Converter / Adapter

Typical use of a scart to HDMI adapter would be for connecting the following equipment
- Satellite Receivers
- DVD Players
- VCRs
- Televisions
- Digital Receivers
- Gaming Consoles
Ideal where you are looking to connect up older AV equipment with scart outputs to a newer TV with HDMI inputs

ADVANTAGES of Scart to HDMI Converter / Adapter

Used to connect older devices which only have scart connections to a TV using one of it's HDMI inputs
The scart to HDMI adapter could also be used if you have no scart connections on your newer TV either

DISADVANTAGES of Scart to HDMI Converter / Adapter

Scart to HDMI only gives a passive connection, so turning on a DVD player, for example, will not automatically switch the television to the corresponding AV input
You need to manually change the source or AV input on the TV to the correct HDMI input
In most cases, the power from the USB port of your TV or AV equipment should be enough to power the device
- Sometimes though, an external power source will be required and we offer this as an optional purchase
- If you are not sure, we recommend buying the power supply along with the scart to HDMI converter
- As the saying goes, you're better looking at it then looking for it
- This would be needed in the case that your TV doesn't have free USB ports for example
This Scart to HDMI converter cannot work in reverse ie.. HDMI to Scart
Obviously you will not get a full HD quality picture from the HDMI output
The scart to HDMI adapter only converts & upscales it
You cannot magically turn it into a 1080p full HD quality picture
Never buy scart to HDMI cables. A powered unit like this will always work better

I used it to connect my cctv system to a new Samsung TV which only has hdmi inputs and it works perfectly.

This converter is exactly what I needed to connect an old but perfectly fine DVD player with a brand new smart tv lacking a scart connection.
I plugged in everything within 2 minutes and now ready to enjoy some movies.
Paid extra for fast delivery and it arrived within 24 hours - well worth it.
