I've started wiring the house for new RG6 coaxial and CAT6e Ethernet cables, one room at a time, so after I've pulled the new cables through the wall, I need to check whether any of the internal wires within the cable have broken before I screw the socket faceplate shut. I also double-check the connection integrity after having screwed the faceplate shut.

This tool is worth its weight in gold, particularly in terms of Ethernet cable testing, as you can see very quickly if any wires are broken, shorted or connected out of order. It's extremely easy to use for both RG6 and CAT6e connection verification.

If you need to run RJ11 cables - which appear to be something of a dying breed nowadays - the tool also facilitates verification of their connections.
