USES of Saorsat Receiver & Satellite Dish Kit
- Used to receive Saorsat from Eutelsat @ 9 Degrees East
- Dish & LNB could also be used to receive satellite broadband
- The dish is larger for marginal Saorsat reception areas
ADVANTAGES of Saorsat Receiver & Satellite Dish Kit
- Allows you receive the Irish channels for free on satellite
- The dish can work in any part of Ireland - including the extreme North, West & South
- No need for a TV Aerial or subscription
- Saorsat offers near 100% coverage while saorview can reach no more than 95% of homes
- No need for multi feed LNBs with Saorsat (Can split the Saorsat signal in attic)
- Saorsat channels have a 7 day EPG
- A dish should offer good reception even in marginal reception areas
DISADVANTAGES of Saorsat Receiver & Satellite Dish Kit
- The range of channels on Saorsat is not yet complete (Only RTE channels & TG4 so far)
- Cannot receive Sky / Freesat with the KA-Band LNB that Saorsat uses
- While a large dish can be necessary, it can be unsightly
