USES of 8 Way TV Amplifier
- Used to take a signal directly from a UHF and/or a VHF aerial and distribute to up to 8 televisions
- Can take a signal from a Sky box (via UHF input) and distribute to up to 8 televisions
- Can be used as a booster to amplify existing signal (could use 1 or 2 way amplifier to do this)
ADVANTAGES of 8 Way TV Amplifier
- Compact and reliable amplifier with maximum 11dB gain
- Coax distribution amplifiers are on average 20% less expensive than F-type amplifiers
- Can feed up to 8 rooms
- Easy to install and connect up
- No need to use a UHF / VHF diplexer which saves on both money and reduces signal loss
DISADVANTAGES of 8 Way TV Amplifier
- As it has 2 inputs, it can not be used when a VHF and UHF signal have already been combined into a signal feed
- It does not have a return path and therefore can not be used to power sky eyes
