USES of 6 Way TV Amplifier
- Used to take a signal directly from a UHF and/or a VHF aerial & distribute to up to 6 televisions
- Can take a signal from a Sky box (via UHF input) & distribute to up to 6 televisions
- Can be used as a booster to amplify existing signal (Could use 1 or 2 way amplifier to do this)
- Can also be used to distribute / amplify FM & DAB radio signals
ADVANTAGES of 6 Way TV Amplifier
- Compact & reliable TV amplifier with an 11dB gain
- Coax distribution amplifiers are on average 20% less expensive than F-type amplifiers
- Can feed up to 6 rooms
- Easy to install & connect up
- Has a 12v power output on the UHF port allowing it to power a UHF masthead amplifier
- No need to use a UHF / VHF diplexer which saves on both money & reduces signal loss
- Also works with FM & DAB radio signals
DISADVANTAGES of 6 Way Amplifier
- As it has 2 inputs, it can not be used when a VHF & UHF signal have already been combined into a signal feed
- It does not have a return path and therefore can not be used to power sky eyes
