Humax HDR 1000S Freesat+ Box - First Time Installation

• With both satellite feeds and ethernet cable from router (optional) connected to your receiver
• Press OK
• Use arrow & OK buttons to change picture and sound settings
• Arrow to next and press OK
• Runs a signal test on both your satellite feeds
• Takes less than a minute
• Press OK on next
• Enter Postcode
• Use arrow buttons to type UK postcode (BT11AA for Northern Ireland channel variations)
• Arrow to next and press OK
• Press OK to save channels
• Tries to connect to your broadband
• Press OK when finished
• Next step is to set pin code or skip this step
• Press OK on start watching freesat
• Process complete

• Press settings button on remote
• System Settings
• Factory Default: Yes
• Asks for pin code 0000 (four zeros)
• Box reboots
• You are back to first time install
• You can change your postcode during the setup

• Press SUB on remote to activate subtitles
• Press again to turn off
• Press TEXT on remote to access digital teletext
• Use arrow buttons to navigate the teletext menus
• Press exit to get back to live TV

Humax HDR 1000S Freesat+ Box - How to Add Non-Freesat Channels

• Press the Settings button on the remote
• Go to System Settings
• STB Mode
• Change to Non-Freesat Mode
• First time around it will say no channels available, press OK to search channels
• Use arrow buttons to arrow to 'Transponder - All' and press OK
• Select a TP from the predined list and scan or create your own custom settings
• Adding a User Defined TP
  • Select user defined
  • Example for adding EWTN  
    • Freq: 11260 
    • Pol: V (Vertical) 
    • Symbol Rate: 27500 
    • Transmission DVB 
    • FEC Auto
  • Arrow down and select save
  • Use arrows to select User Defined
  • Leave settings here as default
  • Select start channel search and press OK
  • Will pull in all channels on that TP
  • To save channels press OK
• To get back to Freesat mode, press the home button on the remote
• Select Freesat Mode and press OK
• You are now back in Freesat mode

Humax HDR 1000S Freesat+ Box - How to Perform Software Update

• Press settings on remote
• Go to system settings
• Use arrows to go to Software Update and press OK
• Search new software
• If one available, use arrows to select start software update and press OK
• Will take a couple of minutes
• DO NOT TURN OFF BOX WHEN THIS UPDATE IS DOWNLOADING
• Press OK button when complete
• Box will reboot
• Installs the update on reboot
• DO NOT TURN OFF BOX WHEN THIS UPDATE IS INSTALLING
• Box will reboot
• Software update is now complete

• Individual recordings are marked differently than series linked shows in the EPG

• To access what you have already recorded press the Recordings button
• Once in this menu you can manage and playback your recordings

• To pause live TV, press the pause button on the remote
• To resume playback, simply press the play button on the remote
• Within the pause range, you can rewind and fast forward
• If you have been watching a show for a little time, you can press the rewind button to go back to earlier point
