It's an excellent piece of kit to have around so you can keep using your old VGA monitors with newer equipment, which most likely will only have HDMI output ports. It does exactly what it says (converts HDMI output to VGA output) but the seller might want to revise these wordings on the ad as its the other way round and can be confusing for potential buyers [STAFF NOTE] What we have written is correct. It is HDMI to VGA. HDMI Output (DVR, PC, STB etc..) to VGA Input (TV/monitor). The product video also clearly explains it

Just what I wanted! Couldn't find it in any store, was beginning to think I'd have to buy a new projector because my new laptop (like most modern devices) has no VGA port. Plus the product was delivered within 3 days of my ordering it. Brilliant all round - thanks!
