DISADVANTAGES of HDMI to Scart Converter / Adapter

• HDMI to scart only gives a passive connection, so turning on a DVD player, for example, will not automatically switch the television to the corresponding AV input
• You need to manually change the source or AV input on the TV to the correct scart (Ext) input
• In most cases, the power from the USB port of your TV or AV equipment should be enough to power the device
  • Sometimes though, an external power source will be required and we offer this as an optional purchase
  • If you are not sure, we recommend buying the power supply along with the HDMI to scart converter
  • As the saying goes, you're better looking at it then looking for it
  • This would be needed in the case that your TV doesn't have USB ports for example
• This HDMI to scart converter cannot work in reverse ie.. Scart to HDMI
• Obviously you will not get a full HD quality picture from the scart output
• The HDMI to scart adapter only converts & downscales it
• You cannot magically turn it into a 1080p full HD quality picture
• Never buy HDMI to scart cables. A powered unit like this will always work better
