- Therefore Punch Down RJ45 Keystones Will Not Fit Side by Side Due to Their Shape
- Back to Back Keystones For Pre-terminated Cable Will Work Side by Side However
- Other AV Keystones Will Work Alongside Each Other & RJ45s
USES of Empty / Unloaded Patch Panel
- Used to give neat and tidy finish to ethernet or AV cable runs
- Used to keep track of what cabling goes where in small to medium sized setups
- Used mainly in domestic, home office or small office setups
ADVANTAGES of Empty / Unloaded Patch Panel
- Makes troubleshooting network issues at a later date much easier
- Much neater job than just simply running the cable directly
- Is compatible with the universally standard 10 inch half rack setup
- 12 port patch panel would suit most small offices
- Can be fitted with standard RJ45 keystones or various AV keystones depending on the job at hand
DISADVANTAGES of Empty / Unloaded Patch Panel
- May not have enough ports for larger jobs but you could just buy 2x 12 port patch panels for example instead
