USES of Diplexer Wall Plate

Allows for a single satellite cable to be run through / down a wall
The single satellite cable using a combiner at start of run can carry both satellite and aerial signals
The single cable is then fed into the rear of the diplexer wall plate
Individual satellite and aerial feeds can then be taken from the faceplate to TV and/or receiver

ADVANTAGES of Diplexer Wall Plate

Works extremely well
It is relatively straight forward to install
Neat and compact and will fit into an existing pattress box
Is a screened diplexer wall plate so handles interference better

DISADVANTAGES of Diplexer Wall Plate

Dearer than using 2x satellite and aerial combiners
A bit more expensive than using an unscreened diplexer wall plate
You also need more room in the wall for a screened diplexer wall plate as the back of the plate is deeper
You will still need a satellite and aerial combiner on the start of the run probably in the attic

Note: Current product different to video but same general specs

Had 2 spare ports on my lnb so used a sat and aerial combiner in the attic and bought 2 diplexer wall plates to split the signals back out again. Very easy to install and work perfect. Would reccomend this to anyone who has a newer tv and wants to keep everything simple.
