USES of Crimp On F Connectors

Used in conjunction with coaxial crimp tool to give a very tight connection on a RG6 coaxial cable
Commonly used on domestic and commerical jobs

ADVANTAGES of Crimp On F Connectors

They securely lock onto the cable and can only be removed by cutting them off
They achieve a lower level of signal loss than a coaxial plug or twist on F connector
They are a quick and easy connector to install
Less likely to plug out by mistake than a coaxial plug and joiner
Much nicer to work with than either a coaxial plug or a twist on F connector
They look neater and more professional than a twist on F connector

DISADVANTAGES of Crimp On F Connectors

They are more expensive than standard f-connectors
They require a special crimping tool to fit the connector
For many types of equipment e.g. Videos, DVD players etc coaxial rather than f-type connectors are the normal
Depending on cable, connector may need a duplicate crimp to get really good grip

With the Crimping tool, these F Connectors work in seconds. I have dropped the old F Connectors and with wet hands they were a real pain. I only discovered them by "word of mouth"

Received order next day. I would recommend The compression F-connectors rather than crimp on connectors as the compression connectors are much more secure and easier to fit
