USES of TV Aerial & Satellite Wall Socket

  • This product is designed to be used in conjunction with a satellite and TV aerial combiner (or multi-switch) to split the signal back out into an RF and a satellite feed
  • Allows installation of a satellite and an aerial using a single cable by splitting the signal back out
  • Can also run FM or DAB radio signals through the wall socket

ADVANTAGES of TV Aerial & Satellite Wall Socket

  • It provides a very simple and cheap solution to the issue of wanting satellite and an aerial but only have 1 feed
  • Works extremely well
  • It is relatively straight forward to install
  • Neat and compact wall socket

DISADVANTAGES of TV Aerial & Satellite Wall Socket

  • Though it works without issue in 95% plus of cases sometimes there can be interference problems caused either by the satellite box or by an aerial (especially if it is powered)
  • Unlike combiners, it's only part of a set and so requires 2 different items to be stocked / bought
  • It is more expensive than a combiner which is a alternative product
  • Has a slightly greater signal loss than experienced using an satellite/aerial combiner
  • Not as neat as a flush mounting wall socket but easier to install
A bit bulky but they do the job. I was able to combine TV and sat signal in one cable to this box and it split it out successfully. The TV socket is a male one so I found I had to get a female to female connector to allow my TV cable connect. All works well. [STAFF NOTE] These type of surface mounted units are bulky. If you want it flush or low profile, you need to use one that goes in the wall using a back box and face plate
