USES of a 4 Way Outdoor TV Splitter (Power Passing)
Basically the purpose of this unit is to allow:
- a the signal coming from a TV Aerial to up to 4 different TVs
This is a very versatile unit. It can be use;
- Indoors or Outdoors
- With passive (unpowered) or with a Power unit & Mast Head amplifier
- With Radio, VHF & UHF signal
ADVANTAGES of a 4 Way Outdoor TV Splitter (Power Passing)
- Very effective means of splitting signal with a low level of signal loss
- Can be use with masthead amplifier as it allows power to pass through
- Very inexpensive compared to a Distribution Amplifier
- Does not need power supply
- It can be used indoors or out
- The f connector fiittings are very easy to work with
- In a good reception area they can feed the signal to 4 TVs without a significant signal loss
DISADVANTAGES of a 4 Way Outdoor TV Splitter (Power Passing)
- They are more expensive than indoor splitters
- By definition splitters always lead to a certain level of signal loss while a Distribution Amplifier would actually boost the signal
