DESCRIPTION of a 12 inch K Bracket
- Galvanised 12 inch K Bracket
- Manufactured from 40mm angular steel
- Max pole diameter: up to 50mm
- Maximum offset from Wall: 20cm
- Does NOT include U-Bolt
- Mount using:
- Coach bolt and plugs for light loads (qty: 3)
- 10mm Loose Anchor bolts for Heavy loads (qty: 3)
- NOTE: Need 2 * K brackets to mount a pole

USES of a 12 inch K Bracket
- Normally used on a gable wall for a pole to mount:
- Aerials
- Satellite dishes
- A Satellite dish and an Aerial on a single pole
- A broadband antenna
- Used instead of a Chimney bracket on a chimney with wide reveals
ADVANTAGES of a 12 inch K Bracket
- Least expensive of the K bracket set range
- More robust than a standard 12 inch TK bracket set
- Neatest and easiest to install of the K bracket range
- Easier and safer to mount than a chimney bracket
- Gives a more robust mount than a chimney bracket - especially important for satellite dishes
- Robust and strong - hassle free and safe once correctly installed
DISADVANTAGES of a 12 inch K Bracket
- The soffets on most houses (80%) require at least an 18 inch Bracket
- More expensive than a Chimney bracket or 12 inch TK bracket set
- Requires a drill and mounting bolts unlike a Chimney bracket
Tools needed
- A ladder
- SDS cordless drill
- Short 8mm, 16mm drill bits
- Ratchet with 13 & 17 mm long neck sockets
- Snips
- Safety equipment (harness, safety mat etc)
Equipment needed
- T&K wall bracket set - (choice of 12, 18 or 24 sets with 18 being most popular)
- Pole (1.8m long, 32mm diameter - steel or aluminium)
- Shield anchor bolt M10 (qty: 5)
- U-bolts - small or large will do (qty:2)
Location
- On a gable wall of a house to ensure aerial is above roof line of neighbouring buildings if possible
Steps to Install
- Position ladder to left (if right handed) of where brackets are to be mounted.
- Secure the ladders and put on all safety equipment
- Ascend the ladder with the drill, tools, bolt and T-bracket
- After selecting desired location use 8mm bit to drill guide holes
- Now use 16mm bit to drill hole
- Use ratchet and 17mm socket to bolt on T bracket using the shield anchor bolts (qty:)
- Repeat steps 4-5 to place position K bracket approximately 35cm below the T bracket
- Insert the U-bolts into the bracket and loosely tighten
- THE TK WALL BRACKET INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE !
