USES of 10m USB Extension Cable
- Longer USB extension cable for lengthy runs
- Handy to extend the range of a USB cable
- Note: Normally, 5m is recommended max. length for unpowered USB 2.0 cables
- This 10m USB extension cable is active, therefore contains signal boosting technology for longer runs
Daisy Chaining Active USB Extension Cables
- Our active USB extension cables can be daisy chained like this...
- The maximum hubs (the in-line repeater unit) in a daisy chain is 5
- As our 10m active USB extension cable has no in-line repeater, you can simply daisy chain 5 cables together = 50m
- It can be used in conjunction with our 5m & 15m active USB extension cables as long as the in-line repeaters do not exceed 5
- For example
- 15m (2 in-line repeaters) + 10m (0 in-line repeaters) + 5m (0 in-line repeaters) = 30m (2 in-line repeaters in total)
- 15m (2 in-line repeaters) + 15m (2 in-line repeaters) + 10m (0 in-line repeaters) = 40m (4 in-line repeaters in total)
- We have tested many combinations and lengths and were able to watch a video from a USB memory stick
