Uses of 10m CAT8 Cable
- Used primarily in high speed networks up up 40Gbps
- Also used to future proof cabling in slower networks (CAT8 is backwards compatible with CAT5, CAT6 & CAT7)
- Would work as a 6m CAT8 cable, 7m CAT8 cable, 7.5m CAT8 cable, 8m CAT8 cable or 9m CAT8 cable
Advantages of 10m CAT8 Cable
- They are low cost CAT8 cables
- Are compatible with gigabit networks up to 40Gbps
- Are backward compatible with older CAT5, CAT6 & CAT7 networks

Disadvantages of 10m CAT8 Cable
- CAT8 cables are more expensive than CAT5, CAT6 & CAT7 cables
- In pure material terms, un-terminated CAT8 cable is cheaper then buying pre-terminated CAT8 cables
- 10m cable might be too long for some jobs
