What’s the Best Satellite Receiver to Record Subtitles if you’re Deaf

Fergal asks;

I hope you can help me with this. I am deaf and am wondering if you sell any satellite receivers that you can record the subtitles from a TV programme so I can watch it later. I have looked around and cannot find one that would suit the needs of the hearing impaired.

Our answer;

Hi Fergal, yes it is a bit of an issue actually as most do not indeed save the subtitles when you are recording. There are some though that do. The one we recommend for the hard of hearing or deaf viewer is the Freesat+ Boxes. This will do the job nicely for you. You can get all the UK Freesat channels on this and it has a large inbuilt hard drive for recording of TV shows (including subtitles if so desired).
