- Update: As of early 2016, no official Saorview boxes are on the market, only generic digital TV receivers
- We are still awaiting information (As of Nov 2016) on the when the new Saorview connect boxes will be coming to market

Yes Martha, you are correct. At the time of writing this (2011), we a currently awaiting our first shipment of Saorview boxes. There are a very limited number of these on the market currently and the Saorview approved boxes are very hard to come by in retail outlets. What we have in stock at the moment are Digital TV boxes that can receive the Saorview Digital Terrestrial signal but have not gone through the expensive Saorview box standards test.
They work great, are Mpeg4 and HD compatible but the small downside is that they do not have the Mheg5 middleware installed which limits the digital teletext when viewing a channel in HD (only affects RTE2 HD currently).
We do have other Digital TV boxes in stock which act as combo boxes that can get the Irish Digital terrestrial channels and also the free UK satellite channels. You can see a list of set top boxes to the right of this that may interest you.
