How to Mount a Satellite Dish Bracket

This bracket can be mounted on either a chimney or as in the description below on a gable wall.

Tools Needed

  • A ladder
  • SDS cordless drill
  • Short 8mm, 10mm drill bits
  • Ratchet with 10 & 13 mm sockets
  • Snips
  • Safety equipment (harness, safety mat etc)

Equipment Needed

  • Sky style wall bracket and arm
  • Coach bolt M8 x 50mm & 10mm plastic plugs (qty: 8)

Location

  • On a gable wall of a house to ensure aerial is above roof line of neighbouring buildings if possible so as to have a clear line of sight towards the transmitter tower.

Steps to Install

  1. Position ladder to left (if right handed) of where the bracket is to be mounted
  2. Secure the ladders and put on all safety equipment
  3. Ascend the ladder with the drill, tools, bolts and sky satellite dish bracket
  4. After selecting desired location, use 8mm bit to drill guide holes
  5. Now use 10mm bit to drill hole
  6. Use ratchet and 13mm socket to bolt on bracket to the wall using the plastic plugs and coach bolts (qty:4)
  7. Use ratchet and 10mm socket to tighten side U-bolts on the bracket so that the arm is square to the wall *caution do no over tighten or threads on bolts will wear.
  8. THE INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE
