First Time Install of the Amiko Mini HD T2/C Receiver

  • Unpack the box
    • Amiko Mini HD T2/C Receiver
    • Remote control & Batteries
    • Various cabling
    • User manual (in English)
  • Push the lead from the UHF aerial into the 'Aerial IN' plug
  • Connect to TV using a HDMI cable
  • Plug in IR eye to back of box
  • Plug in the power lead
  • The box will come on and will display 'no channels'
  • Select country as Germany from installation menu (they use the same frequency range we do in Ireland)
  • Scan for channels, takes several minutes
  • Channels will be saved automatically after scan finished

How to Sort & Delete Channels

  • Press the menu button
  • Go to services
  • Next go over to organising services
  • Use the arrow & OK buttons to select/move/delete channels
  • You can move or delete channels individually or in blocks
  • Press Exit button to save changes

Info & EPG Functionality

EPG Button

  • The Amiko Mini HD T2/C Receiver comes with a full 7 Day EPG
  • Press the 'EPG' button on the remote control
  • Press the green button to expand the EPG out to full 7 day EPG

Info Button

  • Press the Info button once
    • Get the programme name and runing time
  • Press the Info button twice
    • Get the programme synopsis
  • Works for now and next programmes

Using the Subtitles

  • Subtitles are turned on by default on the Amiko Mini HD T2/C Receiver
  • You can turn the subtitles off universally from the main menu
  • You can also turn subtitles off on individual channels
  • Both methods are demonstrated in the video above

How to Format a USB Drive

  • Connect a USB drive to the receiver
  • Press the Menu button
  • Select the USB Menu
  • Select the 'Storage Information' option
  • Press the yellow button to enter formatting mode
  • Press 'OK' and it takes about 30 seconds to format the drive
  • The receiver will inform you when the formatting is complete

How to Safely Remove USB Drive

Pause & Record Facilities

  • There are some good PVR Facilities on the Amiko Mini HD T2/C Receiver
  • The first step is to add either a USB key or a hard drive (it can handle either FAT32 or NTFS)

Play Back Recorded TV Shows

  • The video above shows how you can play back TV shows that you may have recorded
  • It also shows how you can delete shows that you may already have watched

Using the Media Player

  • This is probably one of the best features on this already impressive box
  • Due to it's ease of use and the sheer range of files it can handle
  • To access the media player
    • Press the menu button
    • Arrow down to USB
    • Arrow over to 'File List' and press OK

PHOTOS

  • All the normal photo and image file types are handled
  • Allows you view as a slide show

MUSIC

  • Listen to MP3s & other common formats
  • Allows you to select a song from the screen

MOVIES

  • Supports both standard & high definition films
  • Supports both FAT32 & NTFS file system formats
  • Note: The Amiko Mini HD T2/C can play Xvid/MP3 AVIs

How to Perform a Factory Reset

  • Menu
  • System
  • Default Setting
  • Default Value
  • Passworrd = 0000 (Four Zeros)
  • Select yes to confirm
  • Box will rest to factory default
